Injury and chronic pain are a fact as we age, and with the added stressors and habits of our modern lifestyle our bodies often develop inefficient movement patterns. Muscles tighten from being overused while others weaken from being underutilized. While the body adapts, these subtle changes affect our health. The Pilates method works to reverse this, to address correct body alignment, proper muscle activation, and emphasize an overall understanding of how the body is designed to move.
Our goal is to educate our clients about their bodies and to teach correct and healthy movement. Improving posture, core strength, flexibility and balance – all gained without compromising the joints - allows clients the best chance to live, move and play virtually free of pain.
