CASSIE'S STORY

Cassie Tynan learned to love movement and wellness as a child growing up in the UK. Delightful hours walking the footpaths that crisscrossed the country, taking ballet lessons, cycling and playing a wide range of sports in the yard with her dad, siblings and all the neighborhood kids, have made it hard for her to sit still as an adult.

Several health challenges motivated Cassie to find ways to thrive despite the challenges. Her journey led her to became certified as a Family Herbalist, as well as complete the majority of a Master Herbalist Certificate. She continues to learn about functional nutrition, herbs, and essential oils and use what she learns to benefit herself, friends and family.

Cassie and her husband have six children (4 young adults, and 2 younger children who are growing up too fast). She has taught in her homeschool and homeschool co-ops for almost 20 years. After several military moves, they settled in Okaloosa County in 2004.

Cassie & Pilates

Cassie was introduced to mat Pilates as a young mom and has loved it ever since. It has been an important tool for improving and managing her health. She started taking mat and reformer classes with Luci Venture in January 2020. After 1.5 years of classes she decided to pursue a 20+ year dream of becoming a Pilates instructor.

Cassie has completed the 500+ hour Balanced Body comprehensive teacher training program, studying under Karen Sanzo of Pilates Unlimited, Dallas, TX, and Susan Clark Waters of Pure Pilates, Pensacola, FL, from June 2021-November 2022. She completed her apprentice hours at Pilates with Luci.

Cassie teaches mixed equipment sessions with clients of all ages, abilities, and injuries several times a week in her private studio, and is excited to teach at Pilates with Luci. She enjoys helping others feel better through the rehabilitative effects of Pilates, as well as the camaraderie that naturally happens in class.
